Instructions

Once you have gathered all your materials, you can start making your sarong. Here are the instructions:

  1. Cut the fabric to the desired size. The size of the sarong will depend on how you want to wear it. If you want to wear it as a wrap-around skirt, you will need a piece of fabric that is at least 45 inches long and 36 inches wide. If you want to wear it as a dress, you will need a piece of fabric that is at least 54 inches long and 45 inches wide.
  2. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise and press the crease. This will help to create a nice, even hem.
  3. Fold the bottom edge of the fabric up by 1 inch and press the crease. Fold the edge up again by 1 inch and press the crease. This will create a 2-inch hem.
  4. Apply fabric glue to the raw edge of the hem. Fold the hem over and press it down to secure it.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to hem the other three sides of the fabric.
  6. Your sarong is now complete! You can wear it as a wrap-around skirt, a dress, or even a headscarf.
